Abstract
The design and experimental results of a wideband II-shaped aperture-coupled U-slot patch antenna are presented. The impedance bandwidth of the antenna is about 27%, centered at 12.5 GHz. The average gain and cross polarization of the antenna are about 7 dBi and -20 dB, respectively. Both the gain and radiation patterns were measured, and were found to be stable across the passband.
