Vertical electronic commerce in China: Problems, development, and strategies

Abstract

Since the economic crisis of 2008, China has shown to the world that she is relatively indifferent to the turmoil. E-commerce is claimed to be a useful instrument in keeping her business agile and alive. This paper reviews what has happened in the sector of vertical portals and the strategies of their development.
