Abstract
The effectiveness of WebCT which is a widely used online learning platform in schools and colleges is discussed. A survey, using the five-point rating scale was carried out to rate each function of the WebCT. The students found it useful to learn major concepts and ides of the course by using the functions of WebCT. Students also found it easy to deliver and submit the assignments through the internet. The main page of the WebCT illustrates all the components of the online teaching environment of the course which provides an overview of the core functions that students can make use of in learning the course.
