Single-Snapshot Time-of-Arrival Estimation by OANM in a MU-MIMO System with Prior Information Aided

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceeding › Conference contribution › peer-review

Abstract

By orthonormal atomic norm minimization (OANM), we may utilize the property of atomic separation-freedom to perform low-complexity direction-of-arrival estimation although only a single-snapshot of the received signal is used. In other point of view, estimations in angular-domain are highly related to processing in time-domain. In this paper, we apply our proposed OANM method to perform time-of-arrival (ToA) estimations. Out of expectations, OANM, with the aiding of prior information, also works with the outcome of ideal accuracy. Specially noted that, when atomic separation is close enough for estimations, OANM results in lower measurement error - its performance approaches to that of another high-complex method.
