Abstract

This paper presents a quality of management (QoS) scheme for wearable heart rate monitor utilizing photoplethysmogram (PPG). One of the major challenges of enhancing heart rate measurement accuracy in a wearable consumer healthcare device is to compensate for the motion artifacts of the wrist. This paper proposes a neural network based detection methodology that reduces the impact of motion for heart rate monitoring.
