Abstract

The virtual learning environment is an effective way of digital learning during the pandemic, such as skills training and language learning. However, ancient Chinese poetry learning is still an unexplored area because of the difficulties in addressing students' understanding of knowledge and their learning motivation. This study focuses on designing and developing a virtual learning space to facilitate students' understanding of knowledge and promote their learning motivation towards ancient Chinese poetry learning. The effectiveness of the virtual learning space was investigated through a small-scale pilot test, and the influence factors were recognized based on the investigation. The future work will focus on improving the virtual learning space and investigating the influence weight of different factors on the effectiveness of using the virtual learning space for ancient Chinese poetry learning on large-scale tests.
