Abstract

Advances in Internet technology and computing processing power have driven the distance education institutions to offer courses with increasing use of Web technology. Through the Web, a discussion forum or similar is made available for learners to share their learning experiences and the efficient mode on course delivery allows them to access course related material with a lot of convenience and at their own pace. In line with this environment, a research project has been taken out to build a Web-based learning module in control systems on which this paper focuses to address the learning effectiveness of control system principles in this way. The authors draw special attention to the hypermedia features designed in this module. Some of the limitations of the module are also discussed.
