abstract = "Conceptually, a hybrid cloud approach to deploying an ERP system can effectively achieve a cost-performance balance, especially during seasonal peaks of concurrent accesses. This paper describes an actual implementation of an ERP-based student administration system, where the web tier and application tier are deployed on hyrbid cloud with the databases resided on premises. The key challenge of this implementation is to set up the web tier and application tier for the right cost-performance balance while attaining an appropriate level of resilience. In this paper, technical evaluation is conducted to demonstrate the cost efficiency of the hybrid cloud deployment, and the benefits are discussed. These provide a useful reference on hybrid-cloud deployment of ERP systems.",
