Critical review of how a small household electrical appliance manufacturer in China can maintain its competitiveness under multiple-challenge environment

There are many changes in the operational environment for a small household electrical appliance manufacturer based in China. This paper aims to research the multiple challenges faced by a small household electrical appliance manufacturer, including tariffs, production cost increases, regulatory barriers, and supply chain resilience challenges.This paper also explores Six Sigma 4.0, which can help manufacturers increase their competitiveness, enabling them to overcome market challenges. In addition, we also explore the advantage of the "individual approach"of Six Sigma 4.0 implementation. Thus, this article can help researchers, managers, and policymakers better understand the multiple challenges existing in the small household electrical appliance industry and provide two directions for manufacturers to maintain their competitiveness in the industry.The future research directions guiding subsequent research papers to investigate the interaction between different Industry 4.0
