Abstract

Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attack hampers the privacy of user in any network. XSS empowers the attacker to control smart devices and act maliciously in the IoT network. In this article, authors have designed an approach to detect XSS attack through intercepting user's issued command and server generated response. Under attack scenario, user gets prompted with an alert message as a preventive measure. The experimental results indicate the detection proficiency of the approach as it achieves a highest accuracy of 99.22%.
