Abstract
This book guides readers to explore the intriguing aspects of Hong Kong's intangible cultural heritage (ICH), further deconstructing our pre-existing understanding of ICH and Lingnan traditions. Drawing on the critical thinking approach of heritage studies, it attempts to analyze Lingnan as a regional cultural discourse. The book examines the formation and development of ICH in Hong Kong, and how the government, the public, and various institutional communities interpret and accept the concept of Lingnan. This brings about a paradigm shift in Hong Kong's ICH research, offering readers a unique journey into the world of ICH.
