Suk earned his PhD with a concentration in Sport and Recreation Management within the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management Department at Clemson University, MS in Sport Management at Seoul National University, and BS in Physical Education at Seoul National University. His research interests are centered around sport development via corporate social responsibility, disability sport, non-profit sport organization, and sport consumer behaviour. Specifically, his studies aim to find ways to provide sporting opportunities and develop the sport for the communities of persons with a disability.
"I see the potential that sport consumers can contribute to making a difference for a community, just like how they have played a significant role in the sporting industry at large."
Before Joining HKMU, Suk worked as a sport agent with professional soccer (English Premier League) and golf (Professional Golf Association) athletes. He was also one of the leading team members of a federally funded grant project, the Clemson University Paralympic Soccer Program, to promote the physical and mental health of the injured veteran population by providing them with opportunities to engage in adapted soccer.
