Biography
Dr. Weiming Wang is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Science and Technology, Hong Kong Metropolitan University. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and his Bachelor of Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His research interests include image processing, point cloud processing, and natural language processing. Dr. Wang has published approximately 60 research papers in refereed journals and conferences, including IEEE TMM/TCSVT/TGRS/TIM/TITS, ACM TIST, CVPR, ICCV, ACM MM, etc. He has led more than 10 research grants, with a total funding amounting to approximately 6 million HKD. In addition to his research and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Wang serves as an Associate Editor for The Visual Computer and is a member of the Editorial Board and Program Committees for several international journals and conferences, such as Computers and Education: X Reality, Frontiers in Mechanical Engineering, ACM SIGGRAPH VRCAI, ACM MobiCom, and Computer Graphics International.
