Biography

Dr. Law Lok Yin is an Assistant Professor of Social Sciences and a Research Fellow at the Public and Social Policy Research Centre within the School of Arts and Social Sciences at Hong Kong Metropolitan University. Prior to this, he completed his PhD in Chinese (Humanities) at Nanyang Technological University, following an MA in Comparative and Public History from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and he completed his undergraduate studies at Hong Kong Baptist University.

Dr. Law's research interests span a wide range, from the history of Sino-Korean relations and the cultural history of East Asia, to the intangible heritage of Hong Kong, and the cultural heritage in East Asia. His scholarly work is internationally recognized, with publications in academic journals and publishers in Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Korea, mainland China, Singapore, Taiwan, and the UK.

In addition to his academic endeavors, Dr. Law also engages with the public through media, serving as a guest host for a history talk show and travel program on RTHK 31 TV and RTHK radio.
