Biography
Dr. Ka Tik Cheung is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Science and Technology at the Hong Kong Metropolitan University. He has completed a doctoral degree in Medical Microbiology and has several years of working experience in the clinical laboratory. He has also acquired the license to practice, certified by The Hong Kong Medical Laboratory Board. Dr Cheung started his career in the tertiary education sector at Tung Wah College. He has over eight years’ high education experience. His research focuses on infectious disease and antibiotics susceptibility. He is also actively involved in zoonotic disease research. He has been exposed to the field of veterinary science. Dr Cheung is a fellowship member in the Institute of Biomedical Science (UK) and a member of the Royal Society of Biology in the UK and the Hong Kong Society of Clinical Chemistry.
