Faisal Khurshid is an Assistant Professor of Management at Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration. He earned his PhD in Innovation Management from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2020, where he developed an understanding of the co-evolution of firms and industries, specifically around technological changes, global value chains, and innovation ecosystems.
Faisal's research focuses on the co-evolution of firms and industries, particularly around technological changes, global value chains, and innovation ecosystems. His work has been published in Supply Chain Management - An International Journal, Business Strategy and the Environment, and Academy of Management (AOM) Best Paper Proceedings. He has also been recognized for his research, including being nominated (finalist) for the Best Paper Award by the Technology and Innovation Management Division of AOM.
Faisal is undertaking an empirical project on platform entry and complementor performance. He is exploring the research question of how and why firms change their strategies toward complementor during industry and technology evolution, specifically before and after the emergence of a dominant design, aiming to provide valuable insights for businesses and academics.
