Biography
Timothy is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Hong Kong Metropolitan University. He is a Specialty Nurse trained in Critical Care. Timothy holds an Honors Bachelor's degree in General Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Healthcare Management and Clinical Leadership from The University of Hong Kong, where he received the B.L. Wong Memorial Prize in Nursing Studies and the Lau Wing Kai Memorial Prize. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
His research interests focus on developing digital mental health interventions and pain management strategies for patients with rheumatic diseases. His work has been published in journals such as BMC Public Health, Geriatric Nursing, and the Journal of Aging Science.
For nursing education, Timothy serves as the Associate Program Leader for the Bachelor of Nursing with Honours in General Health Care. He is passionate about integrating technology and simulation-based learning to prepare nursing students for the evolving healthcare landscape. In 2024, he was awarded the President's Award for Excellence in Inspirational Teaching to recognize his contributions to teaching and learning.
