Biography

Dr. Ivan C.M. Sin is Programme Leader of Certificate in Education (Primary/Secondary), Certificate in Primary Mathematics Education: Subject Knowledge and Pedagogy, and Certificate in the Teaching of Putonghua in Primary Schools in the School of Education and Languages.
 
He obtained his BEd (First class honors) in Language Education, MPhil and PhD in Modern Chinese from the University of Hong Kong (PhD thesis titled “A Dynamic Study of Figure of Speech in Modern Chinese"). He is also a registered teacher in Hong Kong.
 
Dr. Ivan C.M. Sin is an Assistant Professor of School of Education and Languages, Hong Kong Metropolitan University. Before joining HKMU, He had been teaching in secondary schools, the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Community College, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong. He had also been a research assistant in Faculty of Education, the University of Hong Kong. Over the years, he has keen interest in editing and literary creation. He had been an editor-in-chief of an environmental magazine and his articles were published in newspapers and magazines such as Ming Pao, Wen Wei Po and 80s renaissance.
